JK Lakshmi Cement declines on reporting 15% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

JK Lakshmi Cement  is currently trading at Rs. 877.50, down by 8.10 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 885.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 886.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 886.60 and Rs. 851.90 respectively. So far 46540 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 998.40 on 09-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 622.55 on 16-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 903.45 and Rs. 841.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10338.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.69% and 16.97% respectively.

JK Lakshmi Cement has reported over 2-fold jump in net profit at Rs 156.31 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2024 (Q1FY25) as compared to Rs 74.88 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 6.71% at Rs 1,536.69 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 1,647.18 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 15.28% fall in its net profit at Rs 67.60 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 79.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 9.44% at Rs 1,576.96 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 1,741.38 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
