GTN Industries has suspended the operations of yarn processing unit located at Gundlapotlapally village, Balanagar Mandal, Mahaboobnagar district in the state of Andhra Pradesh with effect from June 15, 2013. Pursuant, to the inspection of unit on May 15, 2013 by A.P. Pollution Control Board Officials and the samples analysis report of the water effluent, the company has been asked to suspend the operations with effect from June 15, 2013 alleging discharge of effluent on open lands during the processes.
Accordingly, the company has stopped the operations as per the order and shall take all necessary steps to restore the production within next 10 to 15 days after meeting the Pollution Control Norms.
