Tata Power Company receives LoI from PFC Consulting to acquire Paradeep Transmission

Tata Power Company has received Letter of Intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting (a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation) to acquire Paradeep Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle (SPV). The Project SPV (Paradeep Transmission) would be developed on Build-Own-Operate Transfer basis, to provide transmission service for 35 years from the schedule date of commercial operation (SCOD) which is 24 months from the date of SPV acquisition.

The scope of project involves constructing 2 x 1500 MVA, 765/ 400 kV GIS substation at Paradeep with associated bays at Angul and Paradeep (OPTCL), around 190 km of 765 kV double circuit transmission line from existing Angul substation of PGCIL to the proposed 765 kV GIS substation at Paradeep and around 12 km of 400 kV line from existing OPTCL substation at Paradeep to the proposed 765 kV GIS substation at Paradeep. Broad commercial consideration or size of the order(s)/contract(s) is Rs 256.183 crore.
