Apollo Tyres unlikely to hike product prices on weak demand

20 Jun 2013 Evaluate

Apollo Tyres is not planning to increase its product prices owing to weak demand for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) segment. Meanwhile, the demand in the replacement segment remained strong. The company’s entire plants are working at 100 per cent capacity.

The company recently announced that it is planning to sell Cooper’s tyres in the replacement market, as Cooper is a strong player in the replacement segment.

Apollo Tyres produces the entire range of automotive tyres for ultra and high speed passenger cars, truck and bus, farm, off-the-road, industrial and specialty applications like mining, retreaded tyres and retreading material. These are produced across Apollo’s eight manufacturing locations in India, Netherlands and Southern Africa.
