VA Tech Wabag, a leading multinational company specialized in water and waste water management, has bagged an order from Orissa Water Supply and Sewerage Board (OWSSB) for a value of around Rs 325 crore. The scope of project includes construction of Sewage Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations in Bhubaneswar Sewerage Districts VI and Cuttack Sewerage District I and II with O&M for a period of 7 years.
Three independent Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) are planned at Bhubaneswar SD VI (48 MLD); Cuttack SD I (36 MLD) and Cuttack SD II (16 MLD) aggregating to 100 MLD treatment capacity with provision for future expansion for producing bio-gas from sewage to make plant self-sufficient in terms of power.
