BEML, a premier Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defence, has won the export excellence award for 2012-13 from the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bangalore for its performance in exports in the ‘Best Exporter’ special category. The company received the award at a function held in Bangalore from Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME).
BEML (formerly Bharat Earth Movers) was established in May 1964 as a Public Sector Undertaking for manufacture of Rail Coaches & Spare Parts and Mining Equipment at its Bangalore Complex.
