Vijaya Bank trades in green on the BSE

Vijaya Bank is currently trading at Rs 43.80, up by 0.35 points or 0.81% from its previous closing of Rs 43.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 44.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs 44.50 and Rs 43.60 respectively. So far 54563 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 67.10 on 09-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 42.95 on 25-Jun-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 51.55 and Rs 42.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2165.51 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.46% and 26.51% respectively.

Vijaya Bank, the Karnataka-based bank has opened its 1,377th branch at Chunchunahalli, Nagamangala Taluk, in Mandya district. The branch was formally inaugurated by Nirmalananda Natha Swamiji Mutt. With this initiative, the bank aims to provide banking services under the Financial Inclusion programme. Other than this the bank is also upgrading 40 Ultra Small Branches into regular brick and mortar branches.

The bank offers various products and services specific to various segments such as it has saving accounts for children, scheme for women clientele, credit facilities to minority communities like Zoroastrians, Buddhists are among others.
