Kalpataru Power jumps on bagging orders worth Rs 1,130 crore

Kalpataru Power is currently trading at Rs. 67.85, up by 2.05 points or 3.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 65.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 66.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.35 and Rs. 65.80 respectively. So far 47,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 105.40 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 64.15 on 31-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 70.50 and Rs. 65.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1041 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.16% and 8.07% respectively.

Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL), a leading global EPC player in power & infrastructure contracting sector has secured new orders worth over Rs 1,130 crore. These orders include, supply and erection of two projects consisting 330 KV transmission line of 466 kms of over Rs 500 crore in Zambia, supply and erection of 765 KV D/C transmission line of 140 kms of around Rs 330 crore from PGCIL and supply and erection of 400 KV Satpura - Ashta DCDS transmission line of around 240 kms of over Rs 300 crore from company’s 100% Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to construct transmission line for Madhya Pradesh Transmission Co. (MPPTCL), Jabalpur, MP.

KPTL has signed transmission agreement with MP Power Transmission Company (MPPTCL) to develop a transmission line BOOT project. The project scope involves designing, financing, construction, commissioning, operate, and maintenance of 240 kms of 400 KV Satpura - Ashta transmission line for the period 25 years with an extension of 10 years on annuity basis.
