South India Paper Mills’ workmen have resumed their duty at Chikkayana chatra, Nanjangud. Labour strike was commenced from March 11, 2013 which was ended on June 27, 2013. The strike was Wage settlement covering 4 years from April 01, 2012 to March 31, 2016 has been agreed between Worker’s Union & the Management before the Joint Labour Commissioner (IR), Government of Karnataka.
South India Paper Mills is engaged in the manufacture of paper and paper products. It is also engaged in the generation of power. The company operates in two segments: Paper & Paper Products and Power. Its products include Kraft liners / Test liners, MG Kraft Paper, MF Printing and Writing & Newsprint.
