Hero MotoCorp strengthens as its arm invest $15 million in EBR

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 1681.40, up by 19.15 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 1662.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1663.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1684.45 and Rs. 1663.00 respectively. So far 3784 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2149.95 on 29-Jun-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1434.05 on 15-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1684.45 and Rs. 1565.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33467.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.03% and 8.76% respectively.

Hero MotoCorp’s - wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in USA - HMCL (NA), Inc. has invested first tranche of $15 million in Erik Buell Racing, Inc. (EBR) on June 28, 2013. The US subsidiary had agreed to invest $25 million in EBR for a total stake of 49.2% in the share capital of EBR. The second tranche of $10 million is proposed to be invested within the next 9 months.

Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
