Eicher Motors declines as its JV firm VE Commercial reports 18.75% fall in June sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 3508.00, down by 14.10 points or 0.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 3522.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3484.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3508.60 and Rs. 3463.70 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3882.00 on 29-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1900.00 on 02-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3540.00 and Rs. 3213.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9450.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.19% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.71% and 20.10% respectively.

Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported 18.75% fall in total sales of Eicher branded products at 3,302 units in June 2013 as against 4,064 units in the same month in 2012.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 3,090 units in June 2013, down by 17.97% as against 3,767 units in the year-ago period, while the exports tumbled 28.61% during the month to 212 units from 297 units in June, 2012.

VECV’s sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market dipped 19.58% to 1,765 units during the month from 2,195 units in the year-ago period, while the heavy commercial vehicle sales dipped by 29.63% to 368 units from 523 units in June, 2012.
