M&M’s SsangYong Motor reports sales of 12,858 vehicles in June 2013

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), country’s major automobile maker’s South Korean subsidiary SsangYong Motor Corporation sold a total of 12,858 vehicles in June 2013 of which 5,608 vehicles in domestic sales and 7,250 in exports, including CKD kits. The company’s monthly sales exceeded 12,000 units for the third straight month, increasing by 28.1% year-on-year. Its cumulative sales from January 2013 also rose by 22.6% compared to the same period last year.

Ssangyong’s monthly domestic sales continued to exceed 5,000 units since April, registering 5,608 units in June. It showed an increase of 39.1% compared to the same month last year. Its cumulative sales also saw an increase of 34.1% compared to the same period in 2012. Ssangyong’s exports in June also grew by 20.7% year-on-year and its cumulative sales rose by 15.4% compared to the same period last year, supported by increased shipments to Russia and Central & Southern American markets such as Chile.
