Tata Power's arm bags contract from NTPC: Report

Tata Power Solar Solutions, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Power has reportedly bagged a 50-MW solar project contract from NTPC. This new project will double NTPC’s solar capacity and will be coming up at Rajgarh in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The plant is expected to be commissioned by the end of the FY 2013-14. This new plant is likely to generate 78.66 million units (Kwh) a year for Madhya Pradesh Power Company.

The Company has an installed generation capacity of 8521 MW in India and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
