Singer India has re-started its sewing machines manufacturing operations at its Jammu factory with effect from July 03, 2013. The Jammu factory has been re-opened after a long gap as operations had to be suspended earlier due to financial restructuring. The factory has reopened because of the support provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
Following this, the company will follow expansion programme and consider setting up new investments for manufacturing sewing machines both for domestic and export markets. Singer India is mainly engaged in the manufacturing of Sewing machines.
