Mold-Tek Packaging is planning to boost its operations overseas by establishing a plant in Dubai next fiscal. Currently, it is supplying packaging products to overseas markets, but this will be its first manufacturing facility overseas. The company will invest Rs15 crore in the Dubai facility, which will have an initial capacity of 3,000 tonnes per annum.
A plastic packaging firm at present has six plants in India, including three in Hyderabad and one at Satara in Maharashtra. It supplies packaging products for the paint, lubricant, food product and FMCG sectors. It is also planning to set up a new plant in north India.
