Adani Power trades lower on reporting 50% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Adani Power is currently trading at Rs. 588.70, down by 10.30 points or 1.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 599.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 578.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 596.25 and Rs. 578.05 respectively. So far 313066 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 896.75 on 03-Jun-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 345.20 on 30-Oct-2023.

Adani Power has reported 63.63% fall in net profit at Rs 2409.36 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2FY25) as compared to Rs 6625.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.83% at Rs 11031.00 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 12370.07 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 49.99% fall in its net profit at Rs 3297.52 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 6594.17 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 5.84% at Rs 14062.84 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 14,935.68 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
