Axis Bank launches overseas subsidiary ‘Axis Bank UK’

Axis Bank, the country’s third largest private sector bank, has launched its overseas subsidiary ‘Axis Bank UK’ to commence banking operations. ‘Axis Bank UK’ had received approval from the UK regulators on April 19, 2013, to carry out the entire range of banking businesses including deposit taking, making loans & advances and Investments. Subsequent to the Bank receiving permission to start banking operations in the United Kingdom, it has set up a Branch on King Street in the City of London.

With this branch, the Bank's overseas presence has grown to eight foreign offices, i.e. four branches, one each at Singapore, Hong Kong, DIFC (Dubai) and Colombo (Sri Lanka), three representative offices at Shanghai (China), Dubai and Abu Dhabi and an overseas subsidiary in London, UK.

Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. Axis Bank offers the entire spectrum of financial services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates, SME, Agriculture and Retail Businesses.
