Jet Airways, the country’s premier international airline, will be starting daily services between Bengaluru and Vijayawada and two additional daily services to Mangalore, besides one flight to Trichy (Tiruchirapalli) via Kochi six days a week. With the introduction of these flights from July 25, the private carrier will operate five flights a day between Bengaluru and Mangalore and three flights daily to Kochi.

Jet will deploy the 62-seater ATR 72-500 aircraft on these routes and operate an early morning flight to Vijayawada.  The company has taken this step as it is witnessing strong demand from TIER II/III cities across the country and it is an effort by it to enhance better domestic connectivity to the passengers.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 111 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, 70 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft and 16 ATR 72-500 and 1 ATR72-600.
