Tata Motors moves up on reporting marginal rise in total sales in November

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 791.15, up by 4.30 points or 0.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 786.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 787.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 796.50 and Rs. 785.00 respectively. So far 389777 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1179.05 on 30-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 695.90 on 21-Dec-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 810.00 and Rs. 777.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 291276.88 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.91% and 20.49% respectively.

Tata Motors has reported a marginal increase in total sales (domestic & international market) at 74,753 units in November 2024 as compared to 74,172 units in the same month last year. Total domestic sales were up 1 per cent at 73,246 units in November 2024 as against 72,647 units in November 2023. 

Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including EVs, were at 47,117 units in November 2024 as compared to 46,143 units in the year-ago month, up 2 per cent. Similarly, domestic PV sales, including EVs were up 2 per cent at 47,063 units in November 2024 as against 46,068 units in November 2023. Total commercial vehicles (CV) sales in November 2024 were down 1 per cent at 27,636 units as against 28,029 units in the same period last year.
