Godavari Biorefineries (GBL) has signed a strategic international license agreement with Catalyxx Inc. This partnership grants GBL exclusive rights to leverage Catalyxx’s cutting-edge technology for the conversion of ethanol to for up to 30,000 tons of biobutanol and other higher alcohols.
Godavari will in the first phase, construct and operate a state-of-the-art facility designed to produce 15,000 metric tons of biobutanol and higher alcohols annually, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to decarbonisation and sustainability.
Godavari Biorefineries is one of the manufacturers of ethanol based chemicals in India. Its diversified product portfolio comprises of bio-based chemicals, sugar, different grades of ethanol and power.
