Apollo Tyres gains as Goldman Sachs acquires 27.68 lakh shares via open market transaction

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs 69.95, up by 0.25 points or 0.36% from its previous closing of Rs 69.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 70.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 70.60 and Rs 69.65 respectively. So far 73593 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 102.45 on 14-Sep-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 54.60 on 21-Jun-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 71.85 and Rs 65.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3520.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.47% and 25.17% respectively.

Goldman Sachs Singapore PTE has bought 2,768,258 shares of Apollo Tyres through an open market transaction. The shares were purchased at Rs 69.70 on National Stock Exchange (NSE) on July 22, 2013.

Apollo Tyres produces the entire range of automotive tyres for ultra and high speed passenger cars, truck and bus, farm, off-the-road, industrial and specialty applications like mining, retreaded tyres and retreading material. These are produced across Apollo’s eight manufacturing locations in India, Netherlands and Southern Africa.
