Power Grid acquires Gadag II and Koppal II Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has acquired Gadag II and Koppal II Transmission (GIIKIITL), the Project SPV to establish System Strengthening at Koppal-II and Gadag-II for integration of RE generation projects, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator – PFC Consulting (PFCCL). 

The project comprises construction of 400kV Transmission line between Koppal-II –Gadag-II traversing in the State of Karnataka, and augmentation of transformation capacity of under construction substations of POWERGRID at Koppal-II and Gadag-II.
