Power Grid gains on acquiring Gadag II and Koppal II Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 301.20, up by 3.55 points or 1.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 297.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 297.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 303.40 and Rs. 295.70 respectively. So far 75996 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 366.20 on 25-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 226.10 on 18-Jan-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 303.40 and Rs. 286.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 279901.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.15% and 3.51% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has acquired Gadag II and Koppal II Transmission (GIIKIITL), the Project SPV to establish System Strengthening at Koppal-II and Gadag-II for integration of RE generation projects, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator – PFC Consulting (PFCCL). 

The project comprises construction of 400kV Transmission line between Koppal-II –Gadag-II traversing in the State of Karnataka, and augmentation of transformation capacity of under construction substations of POWERGRID at Koppal-II and Gadag-II.
