Bajaj Auto trades in green on the BSE

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 1950.00, up by 22.10 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 1927.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1927.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1955.20 and Rs. 1895.00 respectively. So far 16,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2228.95 on 03-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1585.90 on 31-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2054.20 and Rs. 1920.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 56,426 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.21% and 24.75% respectively. Bajaj Auto, the country’s second largest motorcycle manufacturer’s petition in the Pune labor court has been postponed till July 23, 2013. The petition was filed to seek that the strike by 900 workers of the operative Union of its Chakan plants since June 25, be declared illegal. Even in this situation, the company has achieved 100% completion of its required production of all brands of motorcycles.

The company manufactures the small displacement KTM bikes at Pune plant which are sold globally. The company is looking at 10% growth in the racing category in the current fiscal.
