Adani Power is planning to assess opportunities for ultra mega power projects (UMPP) as and when bidding comes up. It has an ambitious capacity addition plans but has faced shortage of quality fuel and delays in land acquisition for projects. It has an operational capacity of 7,260 MW, including the 4,620 MW coal-fired Mundra plant.
The company is engaged in the business of generation, accumulation, distribution and supply of power and to generally deal in electricity and to explore, develop, generate, accumulate, supply and distribute or to deal in other forms of energy from any source whatsoever.
