Bajaj Auto reports 18% fall in July 2013 sales

 Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered a 18% fall in total sales (excluding exports) to 281,327 units in July 2013 against 344,150 units in July 12. The sales of the motorcycles declined by 20% and stood at 246,828 units in the month under review against 308,858 units in July 12. Company’s total exports stood at 110,023 units, a drop of 12% as compared to 125,501 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
