Rainbow Papers gains on getting nod to make Rainbow Infrabuild as WOS of the company

Rainbow Papers is currently trading at Rs. 63.00, up by 0.20 points or 0.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 62.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 63.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 63.50 and Rs. 62.70 respectively. So far 68382 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 69.50 on 21-Sep-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.00 on 10-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 69.30 and Rs. 62.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 572.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.84% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.16% and 31.97% respectively. 

Rainbow Papers has received an approval to make Rainbow Infrabuild as a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) of the company and to invest up to Rs 20 crore in the said WOS for setting up of box board project. The board at its meeting held on November 12, 2011 has decided for the same.

Further, the board of directors noted that during the quarter, second machine imported from Germany has been installed and the 20MW power plant would commence operations by March 2012.

Rainbow Papers is into manufacturing of paper and paper products, coated paper, crepe paper and produces almost 186 varieties of paper that cater to the diverse segments of the Indian as well as overseas usage market. The company exports its products to various countries in the US, Middle East, South Africa, South East Asia and UK.
