Karnataka Bank, a private sector lender, has organized an Agri Customers’ meet at Kolar in state of Karnataka. The purpose of the meet was to interact with farmers and educate them on the various types of credit facilities that they can avail from the bank, for carrying on their agricultural activities smoothly, and also the financial support available from the Government in the form of interest subvention, subsidies etc. The program was attended by a large number of farmers from Kolar & nearby branches.
The bank has 10 Agri Development Branches and 150 `Green’ Branches. These branches will pay focused attention to agricultural lending and ensure adequate and timely flow of credit to the sector.
Besides, the bank also plans to hold many more Agri Customers’ meet at different centres across the country during the current year.
