Central Bank of India trades higher on the BSE

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs 56.20, up by 1.10 points or 2.00% from its previous closing of Rs 55.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 55.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs 56.50 and Rs 55.40 respectively. So far 16181 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 95.60 on 09-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 53.00 on 29-Jul-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 58.40 and Rs 53.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 5844.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 85.31% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.21% and 5.48% respectively.

Central Bank of India is planning to open 23 more branches in the north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh, during the current financial year. The bank has opened its 75th retail asset branch of Central Bank in the country at Visakhapatnam, which is its 75th retail asset branch in the country

The bank was providing customers 30-year tenure for housing loans and there will be on-the-spot sanctions if the customers brought with them all the required documents. It is likely to appoint business facilitators to promote retail lending.
