Jet airways to lease 5 planes to West Asian carrier this month

Jet airways, the country’s premier international airline is planning to lease out 5 planes to West Asian carriers this month. West Asia carriers have game-changing expansion plans and would need continuous access to markets. India's international traffic growth, possibly for next 2-3 decades, is strategically crucial to their future plans.

In a separate development, Naresh Goyal-promoted airlines will introduce 50 new fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX planes and expand aggressively from 2018 onwards. Jet has ordered 50 MAX planes with CFM-Leap-1B engines and configuration of 168 seats for delivery starting 2018 and ending in 2021.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 111 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, 70 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft and 16 ATR 72-500 and 1 ATR72-600.
