GTN Industries has commenced operational activities at its yarn processing unit located at Gundlapotlapally village, Balanagar Mandal, Mahaboobnagar district in the state of Andhra Pradesh with effect from August 10, 2013. The company has taken this step after it received revocation order from A.P. Pollution Control Board vide letter dated August 08, 2013.
The company had earlier suspended the operations of the said yarn processing unit with effect from June 15, 2013. Pursuant, to the inspection of unit on May 15, 2013 by A.P. Pollution Control Board Officials and the samples analysis report of the water effluent, the company had been asked to suspend the operations with effect from June 15, 2013 alleging discharge of effluent on open lands during the processes.
