Maruti Suzuki India has reported a 0.98% year-on-year increase in its total sales at 1,99,400 units in February 2025 as compare to 1,97,471 units in February 2024. Total domestic passenger vehicle sales marginally increased to 160,791 units in February 2025 compared to 160,271 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year.
Sales of Alto and S-Presso declined to 10,226 units in February 2025 compared to 14,782 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year. Sales of compact cars, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, rose to 72,942 units in February 2025 from 71,627 vehicles in February 2024. Sales of mid-size car, Ciaz grew to 1,097 units in February 2025 compared to 481 units during the corresponding month of the preceding year. Sales of Utility vehicles, consisting of Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny and XL6, grew to 65,033 units in February 2025 over 61,234 units in the year-ago period.
Sales of van Eeco were at 11,493 units in February 2025 as against 12,147 units in February 2024, while that of light commercial vehicle Super Carry declined at 2,710 units as against 3,126 units earlier. The company’s exports in February 2025 declined at 25,021 units as compared to 28,927 units in the same month last year.
