Gujarat State Petronet shines on reporting good Q1 numbers

Gujarat State Petronet is currently trading at Rs. 55.25, up by 0.70 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 54.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 56.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 56.10 and Rs. 55.00 respectively. So far 18251 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 84.00 on 05-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 46.90 on 31-Jul-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 56.10 and Rs. 48.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3109.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.73% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.95% and 25.32% respectively.

Gujarat State Petronet (GSPL) has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2013.

The company has reported 1.14% rise in its net profit after tax at Rs 126.27 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 124.85 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company has increased by 8.68% at Rs 309.91 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 285.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

Gujarat State Petronet is a subsidiary Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). It has taken initiative in developing energy transportation infrastructure in Gujarat and connecting major natural gas supply sources and demand markets.
