Vedanta reports marginal rise in aluminium production in Q4FY25

Vedanta has reported marginal rise of 1% in its total aluminium production to 6,03,000 tonnes in the fourth quarter of FY25 compared to same quarter last year, while it was up 2% to 24,21,000 tonnes in FY25. The Zinc mined metal production on domestic front increased by 4% to 3,10,000 tonnes in Q4 of FY25 as compared to same quarter last year, while it rose 1% to 10,95,000 tonnes in FY25. Meanwhile, the zinc mined metal output on international front was up 52% to 50000 tonnes in Q4 of FY25 compared to same quarter last year, however, it was down 15% to 178000 tonnes for FY25. 

The production of saleable iron ore rose 22% to 2.1 million tonnes in Q4 of FY25 compared to same quarter last year. Its total Finished steel production increased by 4% to 355000 tonnes in Q4 of FY25 compared to same quarter last year, however, it was down 4% to 13,37,000 tonnes in FY25. The power sales for the fourth quarter of FY25 decreased by 5% to 3,770 million units compared to same quarter last year, while it was declined by 1% to 16,087 million units in FY25.
