SpiceJet, the country’s budget carrier will be commencing direct services between Pune and Sharjah from September 21. The airline is offering an introductory fare of Rs 6,499 one way (inclusive of all taxes) on the Pune - Sharjah route. The airline will be deploying its New Generation Boeing 737-800, a 189-seater aircraft, on this route.
The airline already operates on Varanasi- Sharjah and Lucknow- Sharjah routes. Pune is the third Indian destination to connect with Sharjah on SpiceJet network. SpiceJet also operates flights to Dubai. It currently operates four daily flights to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi. Besides, the airline is also launching the Ahmedabad-Muscat flight from August 29, 2013.
SpiceJet is the fourth largest airline and operates over 350 daily flights to over 45 Indian cities and eight international destinations. Muscat will be the ninth international destination of the airline.
