Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), a private sector lender, is in the process of opening two new branches at Vellore district in state of Tamil Nadu. The bank will open first branch on August 26, 2013 which will be located at No.74, South Vannier Street, Wallajah Taluka, Vellore District while it will open the second branch on August 30, 2013 at No.334/ 1C10, Chennai Salai, KatPadi Taluka, Veliore District in state of Tamil Nadu.
Karur Vysya Bank is among six old generation private sector banks that have been identified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to implement Speed Clearing at Mumbai.
