Macquarie Bank has sold 563,016 shares of Gitanjali Gems in an open market transaction. The foreign fund house has sold the shares at Rs 81.02 a piece on National Stock Exchange (NSE) on August 22, 2013.
The company has reported 92.29% fall in its net profit at Rs 5.94 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2013. as compared to Rs 77.05 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 24.64% at Rs 2565.64 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2058.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.
