Eveready Industries trades in green on BSE

Eveready Industries (India) is currently trading at Rs 15.80, up by 0.35 points or 2.27% from its previous closing of Rs 15.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 15.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 15.90 and Rs 15.45 respectively. So far 27757 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 26.40 on 19-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 14.05 on 07-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 16.50 and Rs 14.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 114.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.86% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.39% and 53.75% respectively.

Eveready Industries India, Kolkata-based electrical equipment company has closed down the Camperdown Unit at Cossipore which was having no operations since September 2008. The said unit was closed down with effect from August 21, 2013 and necessary actions have been put in place regarding the same.

Eveready is largely involved in the production of batteries and lighting solutions, but is also in the tea business. It has a portfolio comprising ‘dry cell batteries (carbon zinc batteries, rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries), flashlights (torches), CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) and packet tea
