GMR Airports’ arm divests 50% stake in Delhi Aviation Services

GMR Airports’ subsidiary – Delhi International Airport (DIAL) has divested its 50% stake in Delhi Aviation Services (DASPL), to Bird Flight Services (India) (BFS), for a consideration of an amount of around Rs 12.79 crore. DASPL was given concession to manage the operations of bridge-mounted equipment, including Ground Power Units, Pre-Conditioned Air Units and supply of potable water to aircraft at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi (IGI Airport). However, post the end of the concession period at the IGI Airport, DASPL is currently not carrying on any business operation. 

BFS is engaged in the business of ground handling services inclusive of all types of cargo and passenger handling service to airlines at the IGI Airport. BFS already holds 25% equity of DASPL.

GMR Airports (formerly GMR Airports Infrastructure), a subsidiary of GEPL, is engaged in development, operation and maintenance of airports along with offering integrated security solutions.
