REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy has incorporated wholly owned subsidiary in the name of Mekhali Power Transmission. Mekhali Power Transmission has been incorporated for Establishing 400 KV Substation at Mekhali along with associated transmission lines (Belagavi District, Kamataka).

REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
