Hero MotoCorp rises as its Haridwar plant resumes operations on September 3rd

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 1941.65, up by 48.20 points or 2.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 1893.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1898.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1956.95 and Rs. 1895.00 respectively. So far 7874 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2088.00 on 02-Sep-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1434.05 on 15-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2088.00 and Rs. 1862.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 38728.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.11% and 8.68% respectively.

MotoCorp’s Haridwar plant has started production on September 3, 2013, after three days of shutdown. Its workers were protesting against suspension of one of their colleagues and went on strike from August 31, 2013. The company has taken the undertakings from the permanent workers about not involving in any kind of protest.

Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
