Vedanta to raise Rs 4,100 crore through NCDs: Report

Vedanta is reportedly raising Rs 4,100 crore through an unsecured Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). The base issue of Rs 4,100 crore along with a greenshoe option allows the company to raise up to a total of Rs 5,000 crore. The proceeds would be used for general corporate purposes, repayment / prepayment of the existing debt and for capital expenditure requirements.

This is the second NCD issuance by the company in 2025. In February, the company had raised Rs 2600 crore through the allotment of NCDs on a private placement basis. 

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
