REC has received approval for the proposal for striking-off a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) / subsidiary -- Rajgarh III Power Transmission. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on June 04, 2025, inter-alia considered and approved the same.
Rajgarh III Power Transmission is a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy, a wholly owned subsidiary of REC. The SPV was incorporated for the project - Transmission system for Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh - Phase III.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
