Bank of India plans to open 2 new branches in Patna: Report

Bank of India is reportedly planning to open two new branches in Patna and 10 ATM centres across Bihar. The bank has been ranked number 1 by Bihar government for its performance in 2012-13. Currently, the bank has 282 branches in Bihar. The bank’s total business mix of the State is Rs 12,378.93 crore comprising Rs 8,986.52 crore deposits and Rs 3,392.41 crore advances.

The bank’s net profit for the quarter grew by 8.64% at Rs 964.18 crore as compared to Rs 887.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012. Bank's total Income has risen by 13.71% to Rs 9722.01 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 8550.03 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
