REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has incorporated two wholly owned subsidiaries -- Umred Power Transmission and Sakoli Power Transmission. Umred Power Transmission has been incorporated for establishment of project -- 400/220/132 kV Umred in the district of Nagpur. The Sakoli Power Transmission has been incorporated for establishment of project -- 400/220/ 132 kV Sakoli in the district of Bhandara.
RECPDCL will act as the BPC for selection of Transmission Service Provider through TBCB process, for independent inter-state and intra-state transmission project assigned by the Ministry of Power and State Governments from time to time.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
