In a bid to relocate manufacturing plant at Bangalore’s Adugodi locality to Bidadi, about 35 kms from Bangalore in two phases till 2016-17, Bosch is planning to invest Rs 600 crore for development of the new manufacturing facility.
In this regard, the company has also acquired 97 acres land in Bidadi from Karnataka government for the construction of the new manufacturing facility, which will also house related support functions besides manufacturing facility for a wide range of products.
Its existing plant at Adugodi was built in 1953, which has grown to its full capacity and has no place left for further expansion.
