The API SQ standard, introduced globally from April 2025, is the most advanced engine oil specification by the American Petroleum Institute. Castrol India has brought it to Indian drivers within months of its global debut, showcasing its ability to move fast and deliver cutting-edge technology locally.
The upgraded MAGNATEC range offers Stronger wear protection for modern engines, Better fuel efficiency, Enhanced defence for catalytic converters and Compatibility with India’s E20 fuel environment. It will be available in popular viscosities--0W-20, 5W-30, and 5W-40--meeting API SQ, ACEA C2 or C3, and future-ready performance needs. The new MAGNATEC range will be rolled out across retail outlets and workshops across India in the coming weeks.
