Central Bank of India gains on opening branch in Muduchintapalli

Central Bank Of India is currently trading at Rs. 62.40, up by 2.20 points or 3.65 % from its previous closing of Rs. 60.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 61.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 63.85 and Rs. 61.20 respectively. So far 190069 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 95.60 on 09-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.90 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 60.90 and Rs. 57.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6554.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 85.31 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.21 % and 5.48 % respectively.

Central Bank of India has opened an Ultra Small Branch (USB) in Muduchintapalli (Lingapur) which is having 433 households with a population of 2075 under its Aliabad Branch under Ranga Reddy District to offer the banking services at the door step of the villagers.  Further, the Bank has issued consent letters to various beneficiaries to the extent of Rs 1.50 crore under Self Help Groups, Kisan Credit cards, SME etc.  The function was attended by the villagers from in and around 10 to 15 villages.

Central Bank of India has been serving more than 3,50,00,000 account holders through its 4,118 branches, 6 extension counters, 29 Satellite offices, 1,970 ATMs and 2,413 ultra small branches (USBs).
