Orient Green Power Company gets nod to divest 26% holding in WOS

Orient Green Power Company’s Board of director in its meeting held on September 23, 2013 has approved to divest 26% of the Equity shares held in the wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Global Powertech Equipments, Shriram Powergen and Shriram Non- Conventional Energy.

The above was necessitated due to the decision taken to shift to Group Captive Model by the subsidiaries which entails participation of not less than 26% of the shareholding in the subsidiaries by the Group Captive consumers of power.

The company is the largest independent operator and developer of renewable energy power plants in India based on aggregate installed capacity.
