Somany Ceramics has invested Rs 30 crore in Somany Max (SMPL), subsidiary of the company, towards the acquisition of equity shares by way of rights issue. The objective of the investment is to address its future cash flow requirements towards loan repayment obligations and capital expenditure of the plant. Subsequent to this acquisition, the percentage of shareholding of the company in SMPL has increased to approximately 85.71%.
